The Awards are based on student reviews, and the ninth place is a rise from 55th the year before. First place was awarded to the University of Sheffield.

The WhatUni Awards also include , with BU placing as regional winners in three categories; Postgraduate, International and Student Life. SUBU, BU鈥檚 Students鈥� Union, also came top for the South-West region in the Students鈥� Union category.
